A Sunrise Salutation meditation is a beautiful morning ritual to help you begin your day with a joyful and empowered heart, body, and mind. The meditation begins with a “dropping-in” to the present moment and an invitation to find a comfortable position while noticing your breathing to become fully grounded in the present moment. Once you are comfortable, you will be invited to check in with your current mood - did you get a good night’s rest? Were your dreams peaceful or stressful? You will then be asked to release this information and greet the new day with a fresh canvas. We will then focus on the breath once more and begin to review our daily intentions and affirmations. This meditation is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to begin their day with empowering self-care and strengthen their mindfulness practice.

01 : There is no wrong way to do a Sunrise Salutation Meditation
02 : Do your best to create an environment that will minimize distractions, this is your “me” time
03 : If you become distracted by thoughts or sensations about your upcoming day gently draw your attention back to the breath until you feel ready to join the meditation, wherever it is in its progress
04 : Practice makes perfect, the more often you meditate with the Sunrise Salutation, the easier it will become to become fully engaged in the meditation.
05: Try practicing in the same spot each morning, ideally once you’ve gotten out of bed
